Carol Ann Jellison
Professor, Austin Community College
Carol Ann earned a BA degree in Art from Humboldt State University in northern California. Following several years in professional photography and graphic design, she went on to study Instructional Design and became a corporate trainer. She quickly rose to head of management education. Believing people learn best when they are laughing and engaged, she used her trademark wit to teach hundreds of managers and VIPs throughout the U.S. working for companies such as DHL Worldwide Express, Skyway Freight Systems, and BankOne (now JPMorgan Chase.) One CEO called her "the greatest morale booster in the history of the company." Wanting to reduce her frenetic travel schedule to raise her son, Carol Ann returned to her artistic roots and is now a successful mosaic artist and jewelry designer. Carol Ann first came to Tapestry over 20 years ago as a tap student with Acia Gray. She served on the Board in the mid-nineties and joined the Board again in 2014. She is passionate about Tapestry's vision, "Weaving Dance through Life" and has witnessed the positive effects of the power of dance over the years.
